My Thoughts

I was zapping on GoodReads and decided to check how many books from Rachel Caine ere still on my reading list when I discovered some short stories from The Morganville Vampires. I usually don’t really go out of my way to by and read them , but since this one was a freebie from the author I decided to give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed.

From the title and the cover we can clearly see that tells Shane’s day. After the vampires discovered the Fight Club and Shane was accused of being part of the exposure, Amelie decided to put him on parole, of course with a lot of pleading from Claire. That entails Shane is supposed to see a shrink and this short story show us how the hour and the day afterwards takes place.

I liked this insight to all the anger and to see the reasons why Claire affects him so much, was very nice to see a different side of him and how much he’s trying to fit in for everyone's sake.
